Salah Extends Apology to Liverpool Dressing Room, Discloses Curtis Jones

Curtis Jones has shared that the Egyptian forward expressed regret to the team after the fallout from his recent interview.

What Happened

He was omitted from a vital match after voicing frustrations and suggesting his connection to the head coach had broken down.

“Salah is an individual and he can say his own stuff,” Jones revealed. “He said sorry to the group and was like: ‘If my words hurt anyone, please accept my apology.’”

The manager has previously declined to reveal on whether he was apologised to from the veteran striker.

Looking Ahead

Jones insisted that the dressing room atmosphere remained positive. “Nothing about him changed, he was smiling and we all treated him normally,” Jones added.

The midfielder also suggested that a teammate fighting for a place is preferable. “I understand there are certain ways you can express yourself,” he said. “However, if a player is content to just be on the bench, then I think that’s concerning.”

On-Field Response

Liverpool's form have been impressive in the games following the initial controversy. The player is convinced the Salah's words were never meant to harm the team.

“In moments of frustration, the source has been from a place of caring,” the midfielder stated. “We’re past that now and we’re uniting strongly, getting results and starting to win games.”
